NCC Conference Attendees Raise More than $5,000 for RSPA Scholarship Fund
Greenville, NCC–April 24, 2017– National Computer Corporation (NCC), a leading developer of retail and restaurant point of sale software, took raising money for the Retail Solutions Providers Association (RSPA) Scholarship Fund to new heights — literally. Chuck Prince, President of NCC, told dealers at the 2017 NCC Dealer Conference if they raised $5,000 for the fund, he’d brave parasailing.
Dealers at the conference, held March 29 through April 1 at The Shore Resort & Spa in Daytona Shores, Florida, responded by raising $5,200. Various attendees even offered additional money if different dealers accompanied Chuck in his flight. In total, 17 dealers went parasailing with Chuck for the cause of advancing higher education — as well as just for fun.
“NCC is committed to education,” said Chuck Prince, President of NCC. “Educating our future generations is critical to sustain our industry. But there is no reason raising money for such a good cause can’t be fun.”
The challenge that benefitted RSPA’s scholarship fund was just one of many highlights of the dealer conference that also blended fun and education through networking and social events including a trip to Daytona International Speedway and engaging panel discussions with industry thought leaders.
